Springs of Mercy’s men’s fellowship is called LIVING STONES OF DESTINY.

The name is based on 1 Peter 2:5 that says the following:

And you are living stones that God is building into his spiritual temple. What’s more, you are his holy priests. Through the mediation of Jesus Christ, you offer spiritual sacrifices that please God

STONES refers to something of strength. Unbreakable, unwavering, etc. We believe that men are expected to be a source of strength for their families.

DESTINY refers to the fact that we are a group of men that will live our lives in a manner that shows purpose. An acknowledgement of the fact that we believe we each have a special calling, a DESTINY that God has prepared for us.
We believe that there are 3 major roles that man is expected to play in their families, communities, and nation at large: Man as a Priest; Man as a Prophet; Man as a Provider.

As men in the House of God, our families, our communities and the world at large, we have a role to play in bringing the kingdom of God down into our lives and spheres of influence.

Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
– Matthew 6:10

As men of destiny, created for purpose and given a mandate by God, we are determined to seek greater knowledge and understanding of that which we have been called to be and to do.

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth and subdue it; and dominion over the fish of sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
– Genesis 1:28

We will by the grace of God seek to understand our God given mandate as Priests, Prophets and Providers. We trust that God will give us knowledge and understanding as we seek him.
