Thank God for strength and peace as we carry on with our prayer and fasting. This week we are coming against every kind of oppression and all harassments.
The Bible says in Jeremiah 50:33-34 ” Thus says the Lord of hosts: “The children of Israel were oppressed. Along with the children of Judah; All who took them captive have held them fast; They have refused to let them go. 34 Their Redeemer is strong; The Lord of hosts is His name. He will thoroughly plead their case, That He may give rest to the land, and disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon.
We can see from the above, that God Himself has promised to plead our case. He is always determined to set us free. Psalm 145:18 says:
“The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth”. Therefore, let us draw near to God and call upon him in truth as he delivers us from all oppressions and harassments of the evil one. Isaiah 54:14 says “In righteousness you shall be established; You shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near you”.
This is definitely a blessing we all need to embrace.
Please mediate on the following scriptures knowing that God is faithful to keep his promises:
Scriptures for meditation
Psalm 9:9-10: 9
The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed. A refuge in times of trouble. 10 And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.
The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.18 The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit.19 Many are the afflictions of the righteousness but the Lord delivers him out of them all.20 He guards all his bones; Not one of them is broken.21 Evil shall slay the wicked, And those who hate the righteous shall be condemned.22 The Lord redeems the soul of His servants, And none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned.
The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. 3 I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies.
Take counsel together, but it will come to nothing; Speak the word, but it will not stand, For God is with us.
But thus says the Lord: “Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, And the prey of the terrible be delivered; For I will contend with him who contends with you, And I will save your children. 26 I will feed those who oppress you with their own flesh, and they shall be drunk with their own blood as with sweet wine. All flesh shall know That I, the Lord, am your Savior, And your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.
“But on Mount Zion there shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; The house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.
2 Peter 2:9
Then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment,
Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you”.
1 John 4:4
You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
The Whole Armor of God
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.
God bless you as you meditate on His word.
God bless you,
