It is time to pray again. However, let us first of all lay the right foundation for our prayers by building a relationship with God.
Many only have a relationship with prayer and not with God.
Some people are satisfied with prayers not answered, they are satisfied and impressed by the length and how loud their prayers were, instead of focusing on the results of their prayers.
They would have really prayed and groaned and cried before the Lord and even sweated in prayer but no results. We must not be satisfied with unanswered prayer because we serve a God who answers.
Ask him and he will answer. Return to the almighty and you will be built up. Remove iniquity – all sins.
However in praying, we need to bear the following in mind:
- Go to the Lord with thanksgiving (Psalm 100:4)
- Pray with expectation
We must go into prayer expecting something, we can’t go into prayer expecting nothing. We need to desist from going in to the place of prayer half-heartedly, with an attitude of unbelief. We can’t expect people to answer our prayers, only God can answer. The psalmist says “from where does my help come from, my help comes from the Lord.As you get into your prayer closet, plan to get answers that will lead to praise for your God. Do not plan to pray in vain. We must pray from a place of Victory not a place of defeat. Don’t go into the place of prayer crying because is concerned about your matter and He too is determined that when you finish praying, praise will be awaiting him. (Psalm 65:1).
God hears prayers, so pray to God!
- It takes faith to pray
- Gods promises are taken in battleGods promises taken in battle, when you take His promises expect wholeness nothing missing. There is no condemnation, keep pressing in.
Look unto God with confidence that you will answer you awesome deeds.
